The Dalton House, constructed in 1908, was originally the home
of Carter and Mary Dalton. Carter Dalton was a prominent lawyer
in High Point as a partner in Roberson, Dalton and Smith Law
Firm and held the honor of being the fi rst president of the
High Point Rotary Club in 1920.

The Daltons were both avid bridge players and their home was
host to regular Bridge Club and social events. This beautiful
historic home was restored to its original glory in the late 1990’s, with amazing hardwood fl oors, original windows and attention to detail. In keeping with the Daltons’ passion for hosting social
events, the house is still being utilized for a variety of private gatherings; such as bridal luncheons, baby showers, small weddings and receptions. Located adjacent to the JH Adams Inn and steeped in history and charm, your guests will enjoy the
beautiful surroundings in which you have chosen to host
your special event.



The Front Parlor
Located at the front of the house, this beautiful space can be arranged to accommodate up to 35 people. The amazing original fi replace is a great backdrop for small intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions.


The Dining Room
Located off the Front Parlor and the Main Hallway, This formal
dining area can accommodate up to 12 people for a completely
private dining experience or be utilized as a boardroom with state
of the art technology.

The Palm Room
The Palm Room is a more casual space with french doors that
open up to a hidden garden patio and is a great spot for Bridal
Luncheons, Baby Showers or Tea Parties. Designed for smaller
groups of 20 or less, this room has a cozy feel that would make
any group feel right at home.

Garden
The rear garden features trees older than the house and provide a
wonderful canopy to protect the garden from the hustle and bustle
of Main Street. The brick patio is centrally located and a perfect
spot for small garden ceremonies up to 30 people.
For a truly unique experience, rent the whole house for your
special day and enjoy the feel of hosting an event in the spirit
of true Southern Hospitality. The upstairs contains 4 spacious
bedrooms, some with private baths, that take you back to the era
of the house’s original days.
